Spring weeds will be germinating soon. Now is a great time to get ahead of the weeds and apply Hi-Yield’s Turf & Ornamental Weed & Grass Stopper containing Dimension herbicide.

Dimension is a granular herbicide that gives us pre-emerge control of unsightly crabgrass as well other grassy and broadleaf weeds. You can apply Dimension to Bermuda, St. Augustine, Centipede and Zoysia grasses. It will continue to prevent or suppress about 40 different types of weeds for up to 120 days.

It also will kill newly emerging crabgrass up to 4 weeks after it has germinated. Turf & Ornamental Weed & Grass Stopper can be applied every 3 or 4 months in your lawn and around listed ornamental plants for maximum protection. A Fall and Spring application is necessary for the optimum control of crabgrass.

For best results apply a few days after mowing and wait a few days before mowing again. Apply just before a good rain. It needs to be at least ½ inch of rain or water deeply after application. Always read and follow directions on the bag.

Hi-Yield’s Atrazine Weed Killer is another great herbicide that can be applied. Atrazine is a liquid herbicide that controls both emerged weeds and pre-emerged weeds.
It can be applied to St. Augustine and Centipede lawns only. For best results apply in the early Spring when weeds are small or have not emerged.
Atrazine kills and prevents Poa Anna, Dollar Weed, Sandspur and Clover just to name a few of the listed weeds.
