Spring Gardening
Gardens are coming to life. A few plants are beginning to bloom. I’m feeling the urge to plant bulbs and seeds. It’s time to plant new trees and shrubs before the heat of summer is upon us. We have already pruned the leggy perennials and divided the overgrown ones to encourage new growth. Added fresh Mama Hutto’s Bedding Mix to the soil raking it smooth getting the garden beds ready for planting annuals.
We’re fertilizing plants and the lawn. Applying fresh mulch to the garden beds to prevent weeds from being annoying later on. Deciding what color paint will be best for the garden furniture and finding a good place for the new bird feeder.
I can’t think of a more satisfying activity than kneeling in the mud as sweat flows in my eyes while I’m strategically planting the new annuals. It just makes me happy at the end of the day relaxing in whatever color chair listening to the birds in the trees and watching the seedlings grow into beautiful healthy flowers.
Come see us at Hutto’s and let us help you find gardening as rewarding as I do.
Have a Happy Spring!
